Had our first day off since arriving at the Garden Tomb. Although we have thoroughly enjoyed our time here so far, it was nice to get away for a time. The Garden makes a car available to us if we pay for the gas, so we headed out to visit the Dead Sea and Qumran - the place that details the story of the Dead Sea scrolls. We had a nice lunch at Qumran - and commented to each other during the trip that it was so very different from going there on a tour - just the two of us.
Heard from our Director, Richard, that on February 24th, the 35 Chilean miners who survived the dramatic rescue, would be visiting the Garden Tomb. Excited and looking forward to hearing their inspiring story and touring them around the Garden before what is likely to be a very emotional service for them. Thanks for your prayers - will keep in touch.

  1. Wow dad...that is so exciting. I can't believe how many people are coming to see the garden tomb while you are there. I hope that it will be a great experience for them and for you both. Love ya
